What were some of the challenges you were facing that led you to approach / start working with Helpthemove?

North Lanarkshire Council had a previous service agreement for the management of energy within void properties with Scottish Gas who withdrew from the agreement. This caused major disruption with locality void teams having to spend a considerable amount of time identifying and contacting existing suppliers to terminate, switch or top up existing power supplies to void properties. It caused considerable amounts of time to be spent on phones attempting to contact the providers and resolve. The void timescales experienced were increased considerably.

How did the relationship with Helpthemove come about? Why did you decide to work with Helpthemove?

We submitted a PIN notice to market and engaged with HTM on their response. During discussions HTM provided evidence of expertise in this market area and benefits of utilising their service.

What are the results you have seen since utilising Helpthemove’s services?

We have seen an improved turnaround of energy provision within voids with less onus on our void teams contacting suppliers and managing the energy provision within voids freeing up time on phones with energy providers for other responsibilities. We have also experienced savings in standing charges and debt clearance.
