How do I set up a new BTR development with Helpthemove?

In advance of PC (practical completion) Helpthemove can create a live branch and set up portal users. Onboarding is straightforward with a user-friendly interface; comprehensive training and we will take the time to understand your operations from the beginning.

What information is required?

Helpthemove can create an organisation or individual branch for the development, including preferential void billing address using the Legal landlord entity for responsibility.

We can work with a data export or provide you with a dedicated bulk upload template. We sense check property addresses against MSN/MPAN information for energy meters using access to Ecoes, as Helpthemove is accredited with CyberEssentials Plus. Our software complies with Ofgem regulations, GDPR and data security standards.

How do I know Helpthemove has notified the current suppliers?

Our technology is designed to provide you with the information you need to have peace of mind that we are doing our job well. Each action within the software is tracked and all notifications processed are visible and easy to locate.

Is the pricing for your preferred energy supplier competitive?

Yes, it is a reasonable & flexible energy tariff.

Without Helpthemove, a vacated property defaults to the incumbent supplier Standard Variable Tariff (SVT). Following the introduction of the price cap and more recently Energy Price Guarantee, there is little price difference in SVT across suppliers. See the latest Ofgem comparison.

The SVT from our preferred energy supplier has no exit fees and the legal occupier will, of course, retain their right to choose a supplier of their choice for the duration of their tenancy.

Yes, we are trusted by 1000+ clients for a seamless handover from developer to landlord by sending bulk notifications to relevant utilities, generating incremental revenue through an energy switch to one provider (OVO), offering free standing charges* and ultimately giving you time to get ready for tenants moving in!

Up to 30 days standing charge clearance, plus up to £15 maximum clearance per energy meter (£15 maximum for electric and £15 maximum for gas). Applicable to only landlord bills where OVO is the supplier and the change of responsibility has been processed via Helpthemove. Estimated standing charge clearance value limited to Ofgem unit prices of 53p/day for electricity and 30p/day for gas as at 1st Jan 2024.
