E.ON Announces Proposed Acquisition of OVO Energy

You may have seen the recent announcement that E.ON has entered into an agreement to acquire OVO Energy, subject to regulatory approval.

At this stage, there are no immediate changes to services, tariffs, or customer support arrangements.

The proposed acquisition is not expected to complete until late 2026 and, until then, OVO and E.ON Next will continue to operate as separate businesses throughout the regulatory review process.

For customers using energy services through the Helpthemove platform, this means there is nothing you need to do and no anticipated disruption to your experience.

What Happens Next?

The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval, with completion currently expected in late 2026.
