In Reposit’s latest episode of their recurring podcast series Rethinking Rentals, Marc O’Driscoll, Head of Sales at Helpthemove, sat down with Gurman Bains, and shared his insights on how technology is reshaping the lettings industry. From enhancing tenant retention to streamlining utility notifications, Marc provided a look at the challenges and opportunities within the sector, and how Helpthemove are addressing them.

Technology’s role in enhancing operational efficiency was a key topic. Marc spoke of how Helpthemove’s solutions have transformed property management by automating time-consuming processes. “Before they used us, they were doing all of this work manually, and it was inconsistent, a headache, and time-consuming. It affected morale in the office,” Marc noted. “[our platform] hasn’t just given that agent time back to do their day job, it’s also made the morale in the office positive because people aren’t wasting time on the phone to different providers.”

The conversation also touched on the intensifying competition within the property management sector. Marc noted, “The strongest reputation and offering that the agents have, the better for the agent. It’s becoming more competitive than ever, and we have to open up to that challenge.”
